Adrienne Dawes - Book Writer/Co-Lyricist/ ProducerAdrienne Dawes is a writer, producer and sometime performer from Austin, TX. Her work has been produced by American Repertory Theatre of London, Live Girls! Theatre, Little Fish Theatre Company, New England Academy of Theater, New Jersey Repertory Company, Hyde Park Theater, St Idiot Collective and American Theater Company (Chicago, IL). Her plays have been published by Playscripts, Inc, Smith & Kraus, Heuer Publishing, Heartland Plays and Vintage Books.
Adrienne is the recipient of the Stanley and Evelyn Lipkin Prize for Playwriting, Marchbanks Family Foundation Grant, a Fringe Festival Commission Award, Seed Support Grant and Finer Point Funding Grant from ScriptWorks. She was named a semifinalist for the 2003 Mildred and Albert Panowski Playwriting Award, 2013 Risk is THIS Festival (Cutting Ball Theater) and 2012 Princess Grace Award. Her play Am I White was recognized as a finalist for the 2012 O'Neill National Playwrights Conference and 2012 Bay Area Playwrights Festival. Adrienne is a graduate of Second City's Core Writing and Musical Improv Programs. She is a member of ScriptWorks and a company member of Salvage Vanguard Theater in Austin, TX. Amanda Murphy - Composer/Co-Lyricist
Amanda Murphy has studied and worked in comedy and musical theater throughout Toronto, Chicago, and New York. She is a composer and lyricist for several groups, including the award winning musical four play which she also co-wrote. She music directs at iO, ComedySportz, the Second City Training Center, and the Annoyance, and freelances for several groups around Chicago. She is also a performer, playing in both MIHE and SongCo, and in BattleProv at CSz. She has many musical theater credits and sings professionally with both choirs and big bands.

Tiffani Moore Swalley - Director
Tiffani Swalley is a director and performer in the Chicago area. She has a focus in directing new works that include; Tantrum on the Tracks (Theatre Building Chicago), A Whooper's Tale (Theatre Building Chicago), Monster Mash (Dramatis Personae), various 24- Hour Projects (Dramatis Personae) and co-directed "Hamlet 3" (The Dallas Hub Theatre and Theatre Building Chicago). Tiffani obtained her Master's in Theatre from Northwestern University. She recently completed the 2010 Chicago Director's Lab; where she was able to work with directors such as Sean Graney, Andy White and Steve Scott. Tiffani is a graduate of the Second City Music Improv Conservatory and a current student at iO.

Michael Descoteaux - Advisor
Michael Descoteaux is the former head of the Music Program at the Second City Training Center. His work has been heard at The Goodman, Chicago Shakespeare, American Theater Company, The Theatre Building, Davenport's and numerous other Chicago venues. With Baby Wants Candy, pHamily, Jazz Hands Across America, and Musical! The Musical, Mike has "composed" over 1,000 improvised musicals. He has been named one of the top young songwriters in America (Johnny Mercer/AMTP), worked with a handful of Tony Award winners, and is the creator/director of the hit satire, Best Church of God. Mike is a member of ASCAP and the Chicago Federation of Musicians and now leads the Charles River Creative Arts Program (CRCAP) as Director of CRCAP and Community Programs.
Alysa Turner - Assistant Director/Stage Manager
Alysa moved to Chicago after graduating from Ithaca College in New York State with a B.S. in Theatre Arts Management. She is thrilled to be making NHIE her very first Chicago show! Thanks to Adrienne and Tiffani for this opportunity!
